Since we have to use the public visibility for posts to go in the hashtag feed, its very easy to totally clog local feeds on smaller instances. | |||
It turns out that replies to posts from a different account don't show up in the local feed, so to spare your instancemates, you can make one root post from an alt account and reply to that with public visibility to post to #monsterdon but not the local feed. | |||
If you remove the @mention in your reply, it doesnt bug the original poster, so if you dont have an alt handy you can just pick any root post from any other account. | |||
